The Nigerian Child Initiative is founded by Shittu Yusuf and the organization promotes the Sustainable Development Goals; by providing free healthcare within the reach of children in less privileged communities and match winners of its annual essay competition on SDGs for secondary school students, to mentor organizations.

The Nigerian Child Initiative has reached 400 children in 3 communities in Lagos-Oshodi, Ibeju Lekki, Makoko – with child outreaches. In addition, its annual SDG Essay Competition raises awareness about the SDGs and has over 20 schools across Lagos Participate with 109 successful entries. Since 2015, the organization has reached up to 5,000 students directly and indirectly via seminars and mentorship activities.
